Cheap Date Show

Cheap Date – 30 September 2006 – A Couch in the Elevator

Our weekend in downtown Chicago turns out wonderfully in spite of the rain and post-wedding partygoers in the hallways in the middle of the night.

We started out at the Drake Hotel and then moved on to the Museum of Science and Industry. We followed that up with a trip to Navy Pier, and then it was back to the hotel to get ready for a not-at-all Cheap Date.

Dinner tonight is at mk, where we were very impressed with the decor as well as the food. Yeah, like very impressed.

Breakfast the next morning was at the Tempo Cafe where Joe enjoyed a very nice omelet and was reminded of the late, lamented Cambridge House.

Thanks to Charles for this week’s call to the table, and to listener Brian for his guest review of Chef Paul’s Bavarian Lodge!
