Cheap Date Show

Cheap Date – 29 April 2006 – Breakfast in Pangaea

Hominids, gastropods, and Kate Hudson’s dad: you couldn’t ask for a more packed program.

On our way to see the Evolving Planet exhibit at Chicago’s Field Museum, we stop for breakfast at Corner Bakery. We also serve up a mini-review of Panera Bread. Them there’s a whole lotta carbs, Vern.

We do the long-awaited live taste test of Coca-Cola Blak. Our opinion: well, you’ll just have to listen. We also recommend you pick up a bottle of Licor 43. You will thank us.

Finally, we talk about kickin’ U2 tribute band Elevation who appeared at Peggy Kinnane’s last Saturday night.

Thanks to Charles from Mostly News for calling us to the table this week!
