Cheap Date – 15 April 2006 – Brunch Among The Trixies
Subtitled “Most people call them green onions, but they’re really scallions.”
We head to Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood for Sunday Brunch at Wishbone, where we were treated to the finest in Southern Reconstruction cuisine. Corn cakes, dudes.
We also tell you about where to find antique pictures of nude women and very scary old toasters. (In fact, that’s the name of Joe’s new band: The Very Scary Old Toasters.) There’s also a visit to Powell’s Books, where, in addition to having a pretty cool selection of books, they let us use the bathroom (individually).
Thanks to Aaron for calling us to the table this week!
We want to know what’s going on in your town, your dining experiences, or whatever you’d like to share, so please write to us! You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This week’s running time: 26:27.
